Hi all,
So my plants were fine until mid flower when they started looking like this.
It starts with the tips of the leaves getting pale and brittle and works its way into the bud at which point I have to cut it unless I want the bud to die as well.
Does this look familiar to anyone?

I'm in dirt under 1000w HPS using Jack's Classic (used to be Peter's) fertilizer 10-30-20.
PH=6.5.

it looks like under watering or to much heat whats the temp in your room and how far away is your light from your plants?

Yeah I agree. Looks like the light was too close and dried the leaves out too much. With a 1000 HPS you need to keep the light away at least 20 inches. I keep mine about 3 feet away.

IMO....kinda looks like bud rot.... But bud rot starts in the bud and works it's way out, contrary to what's been described....

Any mold in the bud??? Or just dry??? Could be too close to lamp like mentioned....

WOW never seen that before! might be heat. Atleast your bud will be dry enough to smoke without having to hang it for a week .Bud does look mature what does the trichromes look like? Not sure the plant will do much with out leaves to produce the energy it needs to live.

As for the heat stress that makes some sense, it did seem like the problem was the worst with the plants that were closer to the light. The distance to the light was at least 20" but not more than that.

As for the mold question, I have had a mold problem before and this could a part of the problem. I did cut some the other day and when it smokes it makes kind of an odd crackly sound, is that mold?

I stayed pretty well on top of the nutes so I don't think that's it.

Hay weed. Thats why its crackling. Its caused by being to dry. If you've got a good fan in the room I doubt mold is the issue. During the last 2 or 3 weeks of budding its a good idea to keep the fan on 24/7, ecspecially with good tight buds.

How often do you feed?
PPM/EC reading of your last feeding?

Room temperature?

It looks like you over feed the sh*t out of em. But I would need to know more before jumping to any conclusions.

High temps and low humidity make it really easy to burn a plant with nutrients.

looks like some of the bud i buy for a nickel or dime on a occassion
