18/6 can be used from the very beginning....before they even sprout.... I used to have my lights on 24/7 in veg too until I realized that it isn't necessary or making them grow any faster....

The first 2 is the same plant & the healthiest. The 3rd is getting stronger. So does the 1st appear to have 4-5 nodes?

Well, un reading this I have a question as well.
I have a seedling that is now got its third set of leaves.
Since it was put into the dirt, it has been under a 250 watt m.h. light that stays about three feet above it. The light Shuts off for six hrs everyday, at which point I move the seedling into my clone box which has 4 t5 flourescent lights that stay about a foot and a half to two feet above my six clones,and my seedling.
My question is, did I mess anything up putting my seedling under that intense light like that? And when can I put it an the 18/6 light schedule with my other plants??
Btw esteban urs are growing nicely!

The 250W bulb wont harm a thing 3ft away. I used to use a 400W bulb 3ft away before I switched to T-5's. You're all good...
oops just realized I am a little late in getting too your question...
anyway...

As per my previous post it appears that the 1st plant is showing 5 nodes, correct........so I may "Top" her?

You can top anytime you want. I think i counted 5 nodes or so. I usually let mine get bigger before i top but its all up to you. Man those are some compact little ones. Did you ever go to 18/6?

Thanx for the quick reply.... Cool. Never transitioned to 18/6. Straight up 24/7. Research suggests this method but again, left to interpretation & what is good for me may not for someone else. Then I will top this one cuz I'm not quite sure of the other 4.

Thats cool. Just curious to where youve researched that stated 24/7 was the best veg time? Im asking cause im pretty sure that about 95% of everything ive ever read said that the plants do better with some darkness. But im always up for some new reading.
