Germination/Lift Off
Germination complete, will place them in some of my trusty soil concoction (2 parts Canadian peat, 1 part cow manure, 1 tsp "Plant-Tone", Perlite & some Vermiculite) that worked out pretty well in my last grow. Will place the seedlings in a few small plastic cups & into my trusty closet under some indirect 45W fluorescent lights. More to come.

2 days post germ. Problem is I grabbed a mixed bag from "Nirvana" but what they failed to tell me was there are no identifiers to indicate the strains! lmao cuz I really do not mind which strain, However, It would be nice to know!

Nice!
I'm sure you will start to notice a deffinate physical differance in The strains once they grow up a lil more. And where do you have your light? You said "indirect" I'm sure you know what your doing, but can I ask why?
Kinda looks like the little buggers are leanin I bit...
How long did it take for ur seeds to come?

Germination/Lift Off
From what I am reading light is only needed for warmth for the first 7-10 days. They may be leaning but this will be remedied in a few more days when the true leaves appear. I will then expose them to the fluro's!
So here is part of the article.
Your Cannabis Seedling's First Few Weeks
During the first few weeks of their lives, seedlings are a bit delicate and won't be able to withstand full-strength lights or nutrients. They need to have a moist environment, but can easily be drowned. With seedlings, less is more. You want to give them just a bit of plain water at first or feed them with maybe a quarter the amount of nutrients to start.
"If you plan on eventually putting them under some high intensity lights, you will want to start them out with either florescent tubes or some compact florescent bulbs. These lights are extremely cheap, are easy on your electric bill, and can be found at your local hardware store. You will want to keep the florescent lights about 4 inches away from your plants until they've developed their first two sets of leaves, then you can move the lights as close as an inch away as long as the lights aren't too hot. If the light feels too hot to your hand, then it will feel too hot for your marijuana seedling. Make sure to keep a close eye on your seedlings to ensure they don't grow too close to the lights and burn themselves. If new seedlings are showing signs of stress, try moving the lights further away and see if that helps.
Once marijuana seedlings are about fourteen days old, they're ready to be start being treated as if they're in the vegetative stage".
But don't take my word for it for there are many other methods to utilize. Everyone interprets information differently so there you have it.

Germination/Lift Off
Within min. Of coming in contact with water, the marijuana seed reacts. Inside the shell, a tiny embrio that has been in a state of suspended animation begins to produce a set of three chemicals that enduce growth: Auxin, Cytokinin, and Gibberellin. Auxin is found in the growing tips of both the roots, and the stem. It directs orderly new growth and develops the shape of the plant by inhibiting growth of the lower branches.
Cytokinins promote lateral growth and cell devision.
Gibberellin directs stem and leaf growth.
Together, these plant chemicals induce germination.
Whithin a short time- typically between one to five days, depending on the temperature and the seeds age, the root tip breaks through the surface of the hard seed shell. the root continues to grow and absorb water, but it still depends on the nutrients packed in the seed with the embrio.
Then from the other end of the soon-to-be stem, a pair of embryonic leaves (Cotyledons) emerge.
Sensing gravity, the plant orients itself so the roots point down and the leaves grow upward. Once the initial shoot emerges from the growing medium, plant growth follows the source of light the Cotyledons unfold, and spread out to face the light, sometimes with pieces of the cracked seed shell still attached to them.
The Cotyledons immediately start producing sugars using the process of photosynthesis.
Which requires light for the Cotyledons to absorb.
Hope that helps
