This is just the way I go about making my butter.... I've found many recipes and sooooo many contradict each other that it kind of drove me to do the damn thing and find out what works for me.... And now that I've found what works for me....I'd just like to share with y'all....

Things you'll need:
2oz Dry Trim
1lb Butter (I use Organic)
2 Pyrex Glass Bowl, Large
Frying Pan
Water
Cheeseclothe
Strainer, Large
Candy Thermometer
Heavy Duty Rubber Gloves
Cooking Glove

First you fill the frying pan with water, half full.... Place glass bowl in the fying pan with water creating a double boiler.... Heat on high until water begins to boil.... Place one stick of butter in the bowl while the water warms to boil.... Once the first stick is about 75% melted away, place the other three in.... Once the water is boiling, reduce to medium-low (a little more on the medium than low) heat.... After all the butter is melted, add the finely grounded trim.... If you don't have an electric herb grinder, you can manually crush the trim down by squeezing it in a plastic bag.... An electric grinder works 1000 times better though.... Anyway....where were we....ah yes, the trim is in the butter and now is ready to stir.... Stir the butter trim mix for a lil until the trim is completely mixed with the butter.... Place the thermometer in the cooking mix to make sure you don't heat it too high.... 200 degrees is where I leave the mix to cook for 45 minutes.... You do not want your butter to boil!!!!

While the mix is cooking, stir occasionally.... Also, use this time to prepare the cheesclothe over the strainer.... You want enough cheeseclothe over the strainer to be able to cover the plant material into a ball and squeeze the rest out.... About two 1' pieces placed in a cross shape over strainer.... Here is where you want to put on the rubber gloves and use cooking glove.... After about 45 minutes or so of cooking, remove the glass bowl and pour trim butter mix over the strainer/cheescloth.... Press trim with a spoon until the spoon no longer seems to be effective.... Then cover trim with excess cheeseclothe and remove from strainer.... With clean rubber gloves on, squash out the rest of the butter from the trim ball over the bowl.... Place the bud butter in the fridge to harden....

Once the butter is hard, I try to cut four equal pieces to represent one stick each....then I place the pieces in a ziplock freezer bag and place it in the freezer.... When I want to use some, I place a butter piece in a seperate smaller ziplock, then place it in the fridge for softening....

Use the butter for whatever you choose.... I've found that the affects are relaxing....not like smoking, but relaxing for sure....

Hope this helps someone.... More to come....
