I am going to try and delay my drug test as much as possible by telling them I am sick and cannot come in. So yeah, ive been being paranoid about this.. (which is why I bought the drug test).. i know being paranoid isnt going to help pass it, but i cant help it lol. and I really cant afford to lose this job opportunity. so if anyone has any advice, please feel free to let me know ..

basically what it comes down too is, i quit 3-4 months ago, for about a month and a half. and started again about 2.5 months ago, been smoking about a half gram - a gram a day since.. with maybe a day or two clean every now and then. havent smoked for about 3 weeks, and by the time I have my drug test it will be about 5-6 weeks. been drinking water every day.. (pissin like a race horse.. about 3-5 times a day) which is a lot for me lol.. any help or advice is appreciated , thanks
Drinking a bunch of water in the days or weeks before the U/A is of no help. THC is not water soluble. Its fat soluble. It stores in your fat cells and remain there until the fat cells are burned for energy. You cannot rid THC from your fat cells by drinking copius amounts of water. Does not work that way.

When fat cells burn, the stored THC metabolites are released back into the bloodstream, filtered by the kidneys, and deposited in the bladder for the eventual exit. The rate in which THC metabolites are filtered from the bloodstream by the kidneys is unaffected by fluid consumption.

Drinking fluids is only helpful on the day of the U/A. The purpose of drinking fluids is to dilute (thin out) the THC metabolite concentration that is present in the bladder. Youre not eliminating THC from the bladder, but youre thinning out the concentration in the hoping that the urine sample registers below the cutoff thresholds of the drug screen. The dilution phenomena is only temporary - once all the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine and thus the "dirty" donor would resume testing positive for THC.

As far as when you'll be clean, nobody can realistically and accurately answer that question for you. Each persons body is different and there are too many variables to take into account to even arrive at a guesstimation. Only periodic testing with a home THC test (using the first urination of the day for each time) can give you that answer.

If your home tests are coming up "positive" with the first urination of the day, then consider subbing, either with a clean persons sample or synthetic. Read up on the Substitution "sticky" thread for tips on pulling off a successful sub.
