Waiting for my paperwork to go through....Manitoba....

    Hello:
Well after over 18months of pain and more RXâ??s than I care to mention, I have found a doctor in BC who has signed all my paperwork(appt via skype), so now the wait begins. I elected to purchase from the Govâ??t for now, though I am concerned about strain burnout. I prefer using edibles (cookies) as they manage the pain better and I am able to function (ie get stuff done around the homestead). I have heard that it can take up to 10 weeks just to get your card.

I live in Manitoba (rural) about an hour from Winnipeg on 80 acres. We grow most of our own veggies, raise chickens, etc. etc. (you are what you eat afterall)

I am shocked at the prices they charge (govâ??t), as it is at the same price-point as mid level dealer would sell for (ie people selling QPâ??s, etc.). Plus they charge TAX on top of itâ?¦.

So hopefully in 10-12 weeks I will be able to see what the govâ??t grown stuff is like, kinda sucks having to wait so long seeing as I could have had any other RX by simply walking into the drugstore with a script.

The reason I had to go out of province was every doctor/specialist I saw refused to discuss it, my family doctor kind of changed his tune and recommended I try it to the doctor in BC, but would not sign the paperwork himself.

On the downside it has cost me over $400 just to get this far (appt feeâ??s etc.) though hopefully in the end it will be worth it.

I used to use med pot in my early 20â??s for medicinal reasons(lost 60lbs from throwing up 14-18times a day) but took almost a 10yr break when the doctors finally figured out what was wrong and managed to fix it for once.

I am hoping that with a steady supply I will be able to fully get off my RXâ??s for neuropathic pain as they make me dizzy as hell.
I do not use it during the day at work, I am willing to put up with the pain as long as I can get a break after work/weekends and actually sleep through the night (cookie before bed works wonders). To put it in perspective it feels like someone slugged me in the side of the head most days, and see stars/collapse when it gets really badâ?¦.this is 24/7 most of the time.

The doctor prescribed me 3g/day which is more than I am using now, but with a limited supply and not currently being legal I had no choice.

My family is happy, and my wife is quite relieved as I am a real PITA when the headaches get bad. The docs have said I will probably live like this for the rest of my life as surgery isnâ??t an option.

    Hi,

I am a designated grower with health canada and I have room on my license for one other person. I've been growing legally for many, many years for AIDS patients etc...If you're unsatisfied with the governement's stuff, I hear its really not good at all, I can definitely supply you a far better product at a far better price too.

Let me know if you're interested, it would be mailed right to your door. I hope your prescription brings you some new found relief.
