I need help on a budding question.
My plant has been budding since October 15.. Well that's when I first noticed the white hairs coming out.. I don't know when I'm supposed to move on to the curing stage?... Also, I wanna know if it's a male or female? Sorry. First timer here and well I know it's gonna be a sack of **** but don't be so hard on me.. After all, we all had a bad virgin batch right?Attachment 280430Attachment 280431Attachment 280432Attachment 280433Attachment 280434

Its a female. If i were you id go to radioshack and get a handheld microscope. Around 13 bucks i think. Then look at the little crystals (trichomes) around the bud. If they are mostly cloudy itll give you a more uppity high and if they are more amber you will get a more couchlock high. You should have several weeks left i would think

You could just let the plant die naturally. Leaves will yellow. Then it's ready for harvest. Just make sure the soil has enough water until they die. Not too much, but just enough to finish the grow.

Just cut off the largest of the buds with the tricomes in your 'ripeness' and let the smaller ones grow another week and do it again. We sometimes get 4 separate cuttings.

Thanks guys for all your help with this. Today I went to go take a look only to see more orange hairs.. You can see it forming wow. So when it's ready I can just hang the buds in my closet right for like 10-14 days till I have to move them into an airtight glass jar right? I'm such a noob. Just don't want it going bad, if it's possible lol

:jointsmile:Hey sherl0ck, re-read PushIt's and PolishPol., advice! and then if you want to get more advice on growing, try posting in the Basic Grow section. However, before you do, you need to take the advice already given to you. Do a lot of reading. Because, if that is the best pictures you can give us, theyz blurred!
A lot of very nice threads here with great pictures and advice of when to harvest! Good Luck and be sure to read other threads on harvest and when. Many have posted pictures of when to harvest and some awesome pictures at that. But, most of the excellent growers here, hang-out in the lower area where the growing section is!
Best of luck-Still curious what region you are in to still have an outdoor grow going. Has been freezing in most places in CA by now! Pretty nice grow for your first time! pr
