what is the best way to cure? do you have to have a MASON JAR OR CAN you use a tuppaware container with a lid? and how long do you have to cure it for?............I just remember a friend had a plant awhile back that he hung in the dark for a week or so then he put in a container and it still smelled and kinda tasted like chlorophylll or grass just wondering how you get that nice sweet smell of chronic like you should not hay?
I use mason jars. After i cut the plant it will get hung to dry. Time frame depends on your drying conditions. After the bud gets kinda crispy on the outside the stem should make a cracking noise (when bent) without snapping. From there i will put it in a paper bag for a couple days then jar. I use a humidity meter (Caliber III, ebay for around 20 bucks) that i place in the jar. If the humidty is over 65-70 you will have to burp the jar couple times a day depending on the humidity. Once it gets about 60% inside the jar you will have a proper cure without having to worry about mold.
There's several threads on here about drying and curring you should check out.
