Honestly Bro, I think the shit that say specifically " plant light" and the bulb is blue, is not The right lighting. I made that mistake, and my seedlings got stretched out. I would go with those bulbs that the glass part is all in a circle. I know that was the lamest description, I'm sorry, but im still in zombie mode. lol but id go with florescant lights. Cheap and easy. I honestly wouldn't finish my grow out with just that, I would invest in better lighting for the flowering stage. But you can veg under alternative lighting than The expensive light/ ballast. I have seen a complete grow started and finished out with florescant lights, the bud was very little quantity wise; they were small too, and the quality wasn't great at all. But it can be done. I'm sure in a few hours one of the other, more experianced growers on here will see ur post and have plenty of good advice for you. ( and maybe the proper name for that bulb u should get.)
    Happy Growing!

Like already mentioned....those aren't the ones you want to get....

IMO, and experience....4 grouped 50w (150w equivalent) CFL's would be ok to veg with in a space as small as 2'D x 3'W x 2'H.... However this will not be nearly enough to flower them.... I'd suggest at least a 250w HPS for flowering.... Shoot, you could use the 250 for veg and flower.... If you want better than just ok results, get the right type of lighting....

There are low cost alternatives to the right equipment....just remember that you get what you paid for....

Indoor growing isn't cheap.... For now....at least get yourself 4 CFL's and add at least 4 more before flower.... This would probably be the most cost effective way of producing a decent end result....

Research "SCROG".... Very effective for small plant numbers....

    Happy Growing....

Attachment 280436 sorry for the crude drawing, but this is my idea. get a quarter inch thick peice of plywood and drill 3 rows of holes 4 holes in each row. then attach light sockets to the holes. then put 32/100 watt equevelent cfls or higher in all the sockets. what do ya think?

12 cfl bulbs will run you 70-100 bucks....then add the price for the sockets and wiring....by the time you add it all up, you've spent the same amount you would have if you'd a got a 250w HPS....

Let the HID be the heater.... Plus you'll get better light penetration with the HPS versus the CFL's....
