my plants werer holding out on me!

So I've had my three seedlings under a generic wallmart "plant" light. I noticed it was stressing them out so I built them their own little space. I had a 250watt light so I.strung that up in there too. I was starting to get really discouraged at the lack of progress I was seeing, the new growth took forever if there was even any, and the roots in my dwc bucket were not showing any progress either. That plant was in the worst shape of all, the leaves were wilting and starting to krinkle yo a bit.... Bad times. They have been under this 250 watt for about four days now, and I'm super surprised (in a good way). There is so much new growth! I have new tops sprouting everywhere and its starting to look good again. My dwc plant has almost doubled its size, and there are tons of new roots that are making there way down from the netpot. The new growth is all luscious green and big fat leaves. The plants were looking all stretched out and long, now they are fat and starting to get bushy!!! I can't wait for them to grow! I think I'm diggin the dwc too. It's showing much more progress than the dirt plants, and that's satisfying to me. I might be starting anothe dwc bucket for this seed I found in some prple weed, which has already sprouted and is pushing its way up...

these's no subsitute for good lighting & all the advertising in China won't change that fact.

58 degrees is the point where the water in the res is at it's highest oxygen level. It lowers levels at lower temps. Like Dutch says.. Lighting has no substitute. That would play a part as to the res being cold.. If it is?
