Sulfur burned about 11 hrs!

Ahhh! Help....I set my timer to only burn for 3 hrs and the timer didn't go off. I just got home to a room full of nasty and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to help my plants at this point. Geez!

Sulphur burners are used in the attempt to kill powdery mildew. Do you have issues with it, or any type of mold? That is something that should never be used as a preventive application. With one exception. The humidity stays high and mold and mildew are present in the room.

I personally think not... Better practice,would be to not give the mold a chance! Ventilation,ventilation and ventilation.. That is the best preventive medicine I could ever suggest.Thinks like saturated pots all the time as res. in the room. Moisture and humidity in general.Your gonna have more chance of it occurring during flower.Very BAD!

However,I have been around them and when they were being used it was in a hydroponic situaton, the mold was present at the time. Moisture all over the walls and floor,even drippin' from the ceiling. How dangerous is that? I was there to get the ventilation in order. He had it all fucked up too! Fans were too small and the ducting way large for his area. Never really pushed the air out it just raised pressure in the duct and back flowed into the room through the wye at the filter.No clue as to why the wye... Neither did he at the time!

Once you burn your plants with sulfur, the damage is done. there is no fixing it.
In the future make sure the burner is off long before your lights come on.
Here is some useful burner knowledge. pm me if you have questions.

I have used sulfur burners for years and if you follow a few guidelines they work great.
In all fairness, prevention is key.
Good mold mildew prevention is as follows:
*Good ventilation
*Keep temps from fluctuating, especially at night. High temps and high humidity are all bad.
Low temps at night and high humidity are also bad news.
*Keep humidity in check using fans or dehumidifiers try to keep humidity below 50%

Sulfur burner guidelines.
*Make sure to begin the burn cycle at least 1 hour after lights are off to prevent leaves from absorbing the sulfur through photosynthesis.
*burn in 1/2 hour increments (1/2 hour on 1/2 hour off).
*make sure the burner is off at least 2 hours before the lights come on.

Failure to follow the last guideline is a good way to begin hating sulfur burners.

If you allow the burner to continue its cycle too close to the time when your lights come on, you risk serious plant damage.
Any residual sulfur present when the lights come on can be absorbed into the leaves once photosynthesis begins.
Since sulfur is toxic to plants, you can and will burn the ever-loving-sh*t out of your plants if the burner runs its cycle too close to lights on.
