Insomniacs (or not) Bed Routine? A.M. routine?
Just curious here. What is your routine for going to bed and sleep? I think we all have heard what the experts say works. But, What really works for you??
For the past 4 months I have done exactly the same thing. Go to bed at the same time. Take whatever vitamins (hope it isn't an infraction to say that here), "sleepy time" chamomile tea, toke if I feel the need, brush my teeth and lie down.
Then, my little 7.2 pound dog thinks she has to be under the covers, because I am. So, she roots around like a pig until she is at the foot of the bed. Then I usually look at the news or a program I've recorded earlier. When I feel sleepy, lights out. If I do not turn things off at that point. I pass the time of sleep and then I cannot sleep. If that happens, you will find me here, late at night. However, it is 0038 right now (canna.com is 0138, DST). I try to be asleep by midnight-1 A.M. and up by 8 A.M.: If the moon and stars are aligned, I get a good nights sleep!
I prefer to wake and start my day off with a medible, usually brownie, coffee and oatmeal!
Then I am good for whatever I need for the day. Lately, I don't seem to need very much mmj since I've been drinking hot tea. However, when it is too hot at night, as in late Aug./Sept. I toked instead of tea. But, I really like the tea with the colder weather now. Even though the house is pretty much climate controlled, I still like the hot tea.
Do you have any secrets for sleep at night or getting up in the AM? Or any special routine Please share them.
