What is the ideal start solution for hydro? ----250 - 350ppms in a balanced nutrient mix....

Is big bloom ok? ----It should state on the label of the bottle if its ok for hydro....

The total PPM was only ~170 in hydro and about 50 on top of the soil. (last one because of the calmag)

Besides cleaning everything, what else could I do to prevent that disease? ----Powder mold is brought about from excessive moisture.... Plenty of air exchange should keep PM away....

I'm going to go hydro bubble bucket/aeroponics/fogoponics in a brand new grow tent next. ---- on the brand new tent....however I highly recommend you do a successful soil grow or two before jumping in to hydro.... You should have a solid understanding of how nutrient uptake is effected by environmental factors before going hydro.... And soil is much easier to deal with when you get yourself the right soil to begin with....
You mentioned rain forest soil....which brand exactly do you have???
