Very nice attempt kudos my friend! But t5 flourescent lights will probly work a lot better than what you've got there, if you trying to go the cheap simple route. Just make do with some tin foil, the dull side not the shiny side; you don't want you light spectrums bouncing all over and being all uneven. What soil or nutes are you using? You might as well go 18/6 for ur lights too and You want then at least a foot and a half to two feet from the plant, you don't wanna fry it. What's the space lookin like that you've place it in? Is the enviornment stable / controllable? Sry for the 20 questions, just tryin to help!

PG420 gave ya some good advice! That foil will have hot spots on the shiney side. It's best to use mylar or panda film. I prefer panda film.

That light is getting your lil' seedling way too hot. Back it away some.

Cheaper and just as effective to use flat white paint.

Your so right, bigsby! If I were gonna use a flat white paint. I would use behrs ultra white, bout 20 bucks a gallon. I paid 26 bucks for a roll of panda film which was 25 ft long by 10 ft wide. Still got lots left.

I used a quart of the same paint @ ~ $8.00 and I still have some left over. These companies want to sell you products but often you will do just fine with a much less expensive solution.

Lol I think its a mental thing really. I personally feel more confident.about my idea if I got my supplies at the grow shop, lol silly I know. But if it was made for the aid of growing cannabis specifically, then why not? But yes there are other options that are sometimes more practical. When I start a new grow.cycle I put new lining in my room, cuz you never know what kinds of nasties are hiding in the cracks; better to start fresh in my opinion. But with that said paint would be easier to just wipe down and push onward! Lol :rasta: either way is bennificial.
It's hard to see the bucket ( I think that's what it is), what r u growing in? Give us more details prtyplz!!

Why not? Because just like any other business they have an interest in putting out products for you to consume, not to improve your garden but to improve their bottom line! But if money is no object then...

I wipe all surfaces with a light bleach solution between grows. Cleanliness is key. Even if you recover with mylar you can still harbor spors and insects on the walls. Oh which is another reason for not using mylar - moisture can be trapped between the film and the wall providing a nice home for all kinds of ailments! Just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.

Heres a test... Look at a handful of the bags side by side and you think to yourself, which is best? Not being funny,here.. I already know the answer I would give myself.

Just a chance to hone your observation skills.
