    red card price slash

i think what i just read means that red cards will be $35 from $90.

in the rules and notes from the meeting this morning, they've already crossed out $90 and marked $35 in its place.....

so, anybody that sent the state $90 yesterday........sucker.

    i kid.....mostly....about you being a sucker.....the $35 business if for reals.

Well, where did you read it? What meeting? Is it for real? Any refunds expected?

did the denver post just say that it is okay to grow/possess meds without a red card so long as you have a doctor's note??

that is, do i need this card, really, if i never shop at dispensaries?

Yes, and no. The red card will get you an exception to the Colorado Marijuana laws along with access to dispensaries and caregivers. The doctor's recommendation will only provide you with an affirmative defense once you make it as far as a courtroom.

So in short, if you are only possessing and less than two ounces, you probably can get away with not having a card. Possession is a petty offense in Colorado. $100 fine, court costs, and no record. You have to get caught 2 times in one year to be more expensive than the cost of the doctor and red card.

If you are growing, that is a whole different story...and nothing near a petty offense.

The above is by no means a recommendation or legal advice of any form what so ever. Just random info on the internets, so take it for what it's worth.

in the case of excessive plant counts, i'm pretty sure the registry has never recognized doctor's recommendations.

the registry is just a registry & they DO in fact record increased counts, though there aren't many docs who will write them any more.
