    Droopy leaves flowering stage

    Hi guys.

I have 2 plants that I am growing indoors. This is my first post BTW..HI PEOPLE! Anyway, I bought the full damn kit ..Homebox with carbon filter and the two bulbs I needed.

The first plant is Pinapple Chunk...and I honesty can't remember the other, but I think it's either G13 or Wonder woman..there were three to start with and one of them died at an early stage.

Both Plants are fine..although maybe too leafy so I think I am gonna trim some.

Just recently I started the flowering process, but since then, the leaves just drooped. Instead of pointing up like a boner, they just sag..they aren't dry..a week and a half later..still green, but just droopy. Like no strength whatsoever....almost floppy. The top leaves are fine. I noticed this a lot on the Wonder Woman/G13 Plant.

The Pinapple Chunk is not as noticeable as the leaves are smaller and it looks more like a bush with a long stem than the other which looks lanky. Both plants had droopy leaves.

I am not sure what this could be. It's good soil that I bought from the same shop as the other gear.I know I shouldn't have done this, but I switched the bulbs back and the leaves came alive again almost instantly (half day). The plants must be stressed because of the switch, but so far there aren't any noticeable problems.

I use tap water which I put into one of those filter Brita thingies and keep it at room temp before watering the plants. I don't over water and or underwater..always making sure the roots have some areas to breath.

Are droopy leaves normal for flowering?

How long after changing the bulbs will I see a noticeable bud?

There are two things that pop in my mind when leaves start drooping. A watering issues or not enough light. Since you said that you are watering properly then id lean more towards the light. What size and spectrum are you using? How big is that homemade box? When was the last time they were transplanted? What type of soil are they in? What's the ph of the ingoing water? If you fill out the trouble shooting form properly and paste it on here it would help out alot.

You should start seeing little white hairs within two weeks from switching to 12/12. Were the nodes alternating before they went to flower?

Ok, well watering might have been an issue because I went away for 3 days, but I waited a week after before doing anything.

The light I am using is a 200W..I forget what it's called, but it's the light after the MH..the one you switch to for flowering.

The growbox I have is the one from homebox.net The second smallest unit. It's like about 5'5.5 and enough for 4 pots, but there are only 2 in there.

Now, the PH part..I have no idea... I bought soiltabs to control PH..Should I put another in because I thought they were only supposed to be used for the veg stage?

They were never transplanted. I basically germinated them and put them directly into the big ass pot.

I added photos but this is AFTER I changed the lights so the leaves are alright.

You will see some dry areas on the bushy plant because like I said...I was away for 3 days and I guess I didn't water it enough, but it's coming back to form.

Well on the good side the plant looks nice and healthy. If you look at your pics you can see how dark it is half way down the plant. IMO not enough light is your problem. Especially considering how thick that plant is. You would probably benefit from adding some cfls around the lower sides.

Ive never used soil tabs so i have no clue to what they do. I use a digital ph pen and advance ph up and down to control my water.

I personally think if you add extra lights and pay close attention to your water you should be fine. I would also find out what the ph of your water is. Good luck.

BTW looking at that 3rd pic you have something else going on. Did that plant get too close to the lights or something? Looks like some kind of burning? You would benefit more from filling out the troubleshooting form so we know more about your grow.

Could it be... HPS? I'm talking about your light btw.

NOOBS take note: if you just throw seeds into some soil and hope for the best this is what happens. Hell, I'm surprised you got this far. You have pH problems. The buffer is probably well depleted in the soil but of equal importance the pH going in is off too. Don't bother putting soiltabs into the pots. Get a pH meter and do it right. You will need to repot them if they've been in there 5 - 6 weeks. And you definitely need to learn about what you are trying to do.

Read "A Beginner's Guide to Growing" in my signature. Read it all. The whole thread. When you're done with that read some more. Better yourself with knowledge. Why don't people on these boards do their own homework? Sorry steveat, I don't mean to take it out on you. I just see a lot of people asking questions that would be obvious had they done even some basic background work...

The other plant IS dried at the top because of lack of watering. I was away for a few days. The light is not too close because the other plant is like 6 inches taller than it and has zero light burn.

I think HPS might be right for the name of the light. It's the flowering one.

I didn't throw it into soil. I germinated it first and then put it in the big pot. I didn't want to keep repotting all the time, so I just put it in the big pot.

It still doesn't answer my whole droopy leaves question. Why is it drooping when I try to flower it? It's great under the MH lamp.

No problem..my plants actually seem more resilient than what I have seen in other photos from other people. I travel a lot and been to like 8 countries in the past 3 months, so I can't take care of them as I wanted to. I live by myself and to be honest, don't trust anyone else to monitor them when I'm gone..I think you understand why. These are my first plants by the way. I'll defo look into getting a PH meter. What, from the photos tells u it's the PH? Are Solitabs useless? I did do my research, but wanted to start with at least the proper gear. I didn't cheap out on the stuff either.

Steve, look at bigsby signature. See Troubleshooting Form, click on it and then fill it out. Perhaps, you will get more results when you 'cover' all your bases! Pretty good looking 'first' attempt. And sounds like you would benefit by the iphone app grow that was posted last week in here! Have read a few threads that people trusted grows to friends and the friends partied like heck and police removed the grow and the people! Good luck!
