    is it ok to reuse soil

    i just pulled a male and it was only 6 weeks old. can i reuse the soil.

    Depends.

    How healthy was that male?
    If he looked good, that's a tell.
    Then, the soil would be useful for transplanting teenagers.

    But, if you were feeding him, the soil might be too hot for young uns.
    If there's no critters in it, you can mix it 1:4 with fresh soil and save a buck or three.

    Personally, I add my old soil to the compost heap and it sits for about a year to cook and mellow.
    Then it's jus' fine.
    The tell there is worms.

    Lotsa worms?
    It's about ready.

    is it ok to reuse soil

    prolly get mixed reviews on this topic but imo, i like to start fresh with everything. i use the 50/50 perlite/coco mixture
