step one- buy some decent soil. fox farms ocean forest is a good way to start.


step two- let your compost dry enough to easily remove it from the planter.

step three- gently rinse root system by what ever means you can. thus removing compost from root system(or at least the majority of it.

step four- transplant into new soil and hopefully recovery.

step five- dont feed for a couple of weeks.

like i said that one branch might be the sign of things to come. the time to act was yesterday.
