Is this an ok time to flower??

My plant is 5 weeks old and its 17 inch's tall bearing in mind that i did top it, i have just out it in flowering and i am useing 2 65w red spec CFL's with i fan on my plant. I am use MG multi-purpose compost with perlite, my plant has alternating nodes and several branches as you can see in the picture attached, would just like to no if this is an ok time to flower and how long do you reckon it will have pre-flowers???

Since the nodes are alternating shes good to go when you are. You should see some preflowers usually around a week or so. Looking nice and healthy
