can you have withdrals?
I'm sure the title of this isn't exactly the best way to state this question, but oh well. I was honestly wondering if it is possible for you body to get used to having thc in its system? Not quite sure the best way to say it. But I swear I was under the weather yesterday because I didn't have any bud. First, let me fill you in on a couple things. I smoke A LOT. I wake up, smoke like two bowls to get an appetite, and start my day. Throught the day when my back starts to throb or I start feeling anxious, I smoke joints. It usually amounts to around an eigth (or usually more) a day. Well yesterday I woke up to an empty baggie
so I didn't feel like eating breakfast. Then I started feeling tired and my back pain set in, however, .I refused to take the vicodin in my cabinet. A few hours later, my stomach started to hurt and turn, and .it continued throughout my whole day. Feeling Hot and cold, and sweating a couple times. I didn't feel better untill I got my bud. Can the symptoms I was having possibly be my body reacting to my sudden change in routine and lack of thc? Or is it all in my head??

Howzit, PGS?
I've never had any physical withdrawal symptoms from M.J.
(Had very serious symptoms when I quit tobacco).
I suggest it may have been a random rhinovirus coincidental to your abstinence.
Not surprised that da bud made you feel mo' betta either.
Aloha,
Weeze

Thx weez but I quit smoking cigs cold turkey over a year ago. It's tempting though when I don't have bud, but that's not very often. Not sure what the deal was; was just curious to see if anybody else has had this experience...

Aloha, yeah, I think Weez might be right sounds like your coming down with something, probably just coincidence. I just started a break too about two weeks ago so I'll let you know how I do. I've never had physical withdrawals but you can get used to do something and it makes it hard to quit at first but usually after a week or so I don't even think about. I miss that warm and fuzzy feeling I get after puffing but soon that comes back naturally too. good luck.

Sounds to me more like your side effects are coming back that the cannabis use to take care of.
I don't believe in cannabis withdrawal symptoms though there are a sort of withdrawal from anything that you like to do. I love having one cup of coffee in the morning. If for some reason I don't get one I tend to be mopey and slower to get going. If you like having cheese burgers and then you can't have any any more it makes you sad. All things are habit forming if they make you feel good. Its always a question of moderation.

Hey there PGS, Your symptoms could be from everything said! I would totally lean toward your pain causing the symptoms. If you have good pain control and suddenly forget to medicate-it does cause those symptoms. Major ass side effects of uncontrolled pain are exactly what you described!
! Just like a flu! Have dealt with it a long time and easy to recognize. Particular in others, as my pain is fairly well managed with very little, these days-thanks to mmj!
Even though I do not feel this is the case with you. Some people have 'withdrawal' from mj or anything they take. I do not think you stopped medicating long enough to have any symptoms of withdrawal. I met a young man a couple of years ago and he quit, for a job interview! He was not in any pain, but very much on edge, pale and nervous.
For most pain medications, we have another chemical to counter-act it! Pain is like a medication of 'counteraction'-you gotta have your:rastasmoke: ! That other stuff has too much OTC med in it that will harm your body!
It is never good to suddenly quit any medication. Not even coffee! Even though it doesn't hurt us to stop drinking coffee (as said) you do have withdrawal. I quit drinking coffee for about 20 years and started drinking again last winter. I can hardly get out of bed and do anything until I have my coffee. The past 2 mornings, I was real lucky, my brother-in-law gave it to me in bed. My sister doesn't drink it and he likes feeling needed! And I cannot get anything done without it! I cannot drink coffee after 12P.M. or it keeps me awake all night! I can definitely feel when it leaves my body, a little bit of 'pulsating.'
Perhaps you should keep some hard candy on hand for an emergency, or call a pal! pr

PGS, are you still on break? how are you feeling now? I quit about a week or so ago and am also feeling like shit. depressed, anxious, can't hardly get out of bed in the morning no appitite, it sux. I would start back up and see if it goes away but my lungs are just saying no f'n way. I'm going to stick with it and see if it gets better, it usually does but the first week or so for me really suck. I was also a wake and baker all day tripper so its probably more pronounced for me that the average puffer. how are you doing? I think I'm going to go for a run today and drink a bunch of water and see if that helps. I've also heard melitonin supplements can help. might give them a shot, too. oh, yeah, and dreams did come back with a vengence, too. one of them was REALLY awesome.

I can't really say if these are withdrawals or just a retrurn of the symptoms I have been treating with cannabis. hopefully they go away on their own soon.

Lol no I'm not taking a break anymore. But I.have introduced daily.cardiovascular into my routine. When you work out like that, you brain releases a natural chemical antidepressant. How did your run go? Hopefully I will be running in no time (I'm a long way from the.marathon I ran 4 years ago) I did very much look farward that part of the day. But being lazy for so long, I can barely catch my breath. But I'm working on it

Yeah Boaz, I take that other herb before bedtime, as well. It does work and comes in many different strengths. Exercise, raises your body heat and it returns to bed-time temp. for 4 hours. Which is why it is better to exercise in the A.M.: And why don't do as much exercise in A.M. as I should-just a slow starter here! Plus, exercise helps elevate your mood. A moring without any mmj jay is like a day without sunshine! Stopping for awhile will lower the dose you need and always good to take a "Holiday" (as we call it) from most medication (unless it is bi-polar or schiz. meds).
For some odd reason I've had unusual congestion with the recent bud I bought and am now inclined to make it into medibles. After a break from token, my medibles are much better. I think the recent mmj purchase was cured to fast, a bit too harsh for me! Hope it will be better in medible? You think? pr
