    Yes they did .... I remember in the early 80's when weed was starting to get decriminalized (small fine on possession < 1 oz), the USA had an AIDS panic. Initially the govt blamed the gays for AIDS, so they could close down the gay sex clubs. Then they blamed AIDS on IV drug users, and re-criminalized weed because of their "studies" that weed was the gateway to all of the harder drugs.

    Who was in office when all this shit went down ??? Reagan/Bush. The WAR ON DRUGS was re-started in this adminstration, preying on the fear of the masses, and fueled by the religious right and the moral majority.

    like a federally funded study is going to be scientifically unbiased. If a psychedelic was found to cure cancer, it would still be illegal because it makes you feel good/see things/have a religious expirience. Feeling good is such a bad thing after all. Land of the free my ass, f the fed.

    The thing id worry about is cancer. and it dosnt do ANYTHING bad if you eat it/vapourize it.
