Plant leaves dying and turning brown please help!

Another noob question i know but i have been searching for an hour for something similar and have not come across anything. This clone is about 2 weeks old and its bottom fan leaves started to dry out a couple days ago. Now it is going to the top leaves. I was thinking my light (400w mh) was too close but i don't know if i was mistaken.. I moved the light about have a foot up so now it sits nearly a little more than 2 feet above the tops. any help is much appreciated to save my tangerine dream.
    Thanks you

Plant leaves dying and turning brown please help!

    2 questions:
    1) were the clones showing roots before u put them into the RW??
    2) if question #1 was answered yes then what is in the water u are giving them??

Could be quite a few things going on here but first off I'll say it looks like it is starving. Dont grab the bottle of grow just yet as it could also be a couple other things. PH is always on the list. Did u soak the RW blocks before putting clones in?? How often do u water, the RW looks soaked. Give me a lil more info and I'll answer ur plant problem

It was not showing any roots yet, i let is sit for about a week and a half until it snapped out of shock. it has been in the veg room for two weeks. Ph is exactly 5.8, i water twice a day 12 hours apart for 10 minutes a piece. i did soak the cube first. My resevoir rightnow has half strengthen nutes for that and all my other plants.
    Thank you for the feedback!

well I'm not 100% sure what "snapped out of shock" means but from what u are saying I would say plant is dying do to the lack of roots forming. Whenever u go from 1 medium to another u always want to make sure u have roots. Example for ya, I would use a DIY aero cloner to start. Once I saw roots forming on the clones I would put them into Rapid Rooters. Once roots showed through the RR I would put them into Hydrotron. The reason why plant looks like that is because it has no food. It prob a lil late now but MAYBE foliar feeding may have helped but that is a 50/50 shot. The leaves go from green to yellow to brown because the plant is basically eating itself to death. No roots no eats. Most important part of starting a plant, either from seed or clone, is to make sure you build a solid root foundation. You could try to foliar that one u took a pic of but IMO it is just taking up space. Sorry for the bad news but we all have been there and failure is the way to learn.

Yeah i was thinking it wouldn't live, but under the rockwool roots are popping out.. I don't know if that puts any hope in its eyes just thought it was worth to mention. Thank you for the help

When using rockwool it is very easy to over water. I believe that is your main problem. Instead of watering twice a day, I would water once every other day... I think you will find they will thrive, especially with some nutes.

/agree with Keylime. In fact I think I said it looked soaked but I got caught up with the roots, which btw does make a difference if roots are poking out.

I have cut watering down to one time a day for 10 minutes. They seem to be loving it. Now about the roots, the clone is looking good, new growth is flawless. Roots are growing more and more every day. Any chance she could pull through?

there is always a chance with Nature, it is the cities and so called "Progress" that you have to look out for. Just keep an eye on it and see how it does.
