    What's up with my plant?!

It's been 20 days since I planted this one (not counting germination, add 3 days for 23 total with germ)
All the stems are a dark purple as you can see, the cotyledon's started yellowing a couple days ago & are not shriveling up & dying... The leaves seem to be healthy, other than the two original serrated leaves, as seen in the picture... within the past 4-5 days leaves started growing out like crazy, so I'm assuming it's in veg now, but it's worrying me because it hasn't grown much height wise at all... it's still only about 1 inch tall & the leaves seem to be cramming in there, which I'm assuming is not good...

(seed was unknown bag-seed) originally watered with tap water, switched to distilled water for the past 10 days or so. CFLs were 2.5 inches away, but as you can see the leaves seem to be pointing upwards, so I lowered the light to about 1.5 inch... the leaves also seem to be curling or bending towards the tips downwards more than before...

I can't seem to find anything related to this on searches... any help is much appreciated to help rehab my baby! Thanks a bunch

^ this is the set up inside the tent (DR60) I have a 125 watt(actual) Felix CFL, but I don't have any way to lower it yet, plus it gets pretty hot with it on, so I'm holding off on it till I get my exhaust fan.

Raise the light to at least 4 inches away.... Let the soil almost dry before watering again.... You wont see any noticeable changes for at least 48-72 hours but do these two things and your plant should grow fine....

It's hard to tell anything with so little information. What are you growing in? Do you have a pH pen? Do you use calibrate it and use it every time you water? Are you doing anything to control the environment like temperature, humidity? How often are you watering it? Did you put any nutes on them?

unfortunately stuck with Miracle Gro "Organic" soil right now... watering it with "crystal distilled water" every 3-5 days. I don't have a PH test yet... I have it in a DR60 tent, in my closet... right now I'm short on money, so I don't have an exhaust fan yet, but the temp ranges from 78-85 humidity from 40-50% & no added nutes yet since I'm in MG soil.

a lot of this stuff will be acquired within the next two months... This is more of a learning experience for now so there isn't as many "noobie" mistakes on the next grow, which will be ordered seeds & such.

& a little update... I raised the lights to 4 inches & waited till around the 4th or 5th day to water when it was dry down to about 3 inches down...
now the leaves sides where the serrated part is are curling upwards (like as if they're closing around something, like a taco is the best way I could describe it.)

That "taco" look usually indicates heat stress.... Sometimes heat mixed with hot soil (as in high nutrient enriched soil) will make the leaves fold in that manner as well....

78 - 85 @ 40-50 RH is just fine. They will love that. You'll be fine without and exhaust fan for a four or five weeks so long as you open the tent 1x / day. Once they get bigger they do benefit from rotating air but people tend to oversell the need for fresh air. Important? Yes but critical? Not so much so long as you open the tent daily. Now the pH pen is a different story. Using incorrectly pHed water will screw up your plants and quick. You don't need to spend big money on a fancy pen. A cheap hanna will do fine. But to get some calibration solution @ 7 or 4 pen dependent and be sure to calibrate each time you use it. You will be surprised at how quickly they go out of whack.

I think the soil is to strong for this plant at the moment or you have to much hum in the tent.or over watered.Goodluck man, hope she starts to grow , I had this problem before it usually grows out after a while with care.
