    I never use the same dirt more than once, there could be buildup or who knows what else stuck in it still. I would start fresh everytime, but that's me.

    No. Do not use the same dirt twice. Ever. There will be salt build up, the pH buffer in the soil will be depleted, nutrients will be depleted, and you invite pests and mold into your environment. Start fresh. Oh and do a little background reading. There is tons of good info here on basic growing. This is covered pretty well.
