    Ok, I'm confused...

Why is it that no one seems to want to "recommend" any particular seed banks, or want to give the URL to one they've had good success with?

There's a thread that's about 4 years old that talks about "Attitude Seed Bank", but apparently that bank was sold, closed, raided or something (?). Googling "attitude seed bank" produces a lot of returns, but none of them seem to be anything like attitude.com/org/whatever. So I asked for recommendations in that thread - weeks ago, and...... got no responses (yet).

And with the prices that people are charging for SEEDS (!!!) I'm absolutely positive that there are more than plenty of scams out there. I certainly wouldn't mind being able to sell someone bag seed and call it some golly-gee-whiz-nifty name and get $15-$20+ PER SEED for it. It's not like you can look at a seed and identify the strain. However, I'm just not that kind of person at heart. I couldn't do that. I have to look at me every day in the mirror. But I'd bet the farm that there are people doing just that!

Shit, a single seed can cost more today than an oz. did back when I started smoking - and we threw the seeds away! (grin). {Usually in the garden or flower bed of a state building or library}...

So I'm confused..... What's the deal? Am I asking something "wrong"?

    1. Seed banks are mostly 'middle men' for the breeders. Lots of problems happen with mail delivery.
You can have constant problems with a 'bank'...or never have one. Payment methods, trips a lot of people up.
A credit card works best; but, paranoid people freak out on that. I use Seed Boutique.

(management will nuke a direct link)

    2. After you pick a bank; the next step is picking a breeder/brand, then picking a strain.

I use Nirvana. Why?..good indoor selection of the Dutch 'white' strains (white widow, white rhino, ak48,..etc.)

The white strains are easy to grow indoors. Very stable. Decent yields. Crippling highs....

    your mileage may vary

    3. and for God's sake don't pick the latest whizz bang strain; that was invented last month...

you want time tested strains; invented in the 90's...IMO

    Pushit;

You talk about growing in your thread in 1 gallon "bags", and 3 gallon "bags"...

What are these "bags"? I'm dealing with pots and of course being round I can't squeeze them together.

Sounds like your "bags" are a better idea than these pots I'm using.

All the bags are is poly plastic bags with drain holes in the bottom. I think mine are 6 mil thick. Ive grown to like them. They are taller and thinner than the plastic pots you use so you can squeeze more plants under the lights. When i first started using them i hated them. If you let your plants get rootbound while they are in the bags their roots will grow in the folds at the bottom which makes it a bitch to transplant. Also if you use them you wanna make sure the bag is folded nice and neat on the bottom before you start adding dirt. If you just start throwing dirt in the bottom of the bag will become kinda rounded so the bag wont sit straight up. You can get them at a hydro store or ebay. I use htgsupply. If you order through htg there's a 11 dollar shipping charge so make sure you find a couple other things to justify the shipping.
