Truckdriver Kills Himself In Truck vs Going to Jail

A truckdriver got pulled over on HWY 59 in East Texas and when the DPS trooper steps up on the side of the truck because the driver would not get out when asked, he hears a gunshot and runs for cover. Once backup arrives, they get to the truck and see that the truckdriver shot himself in the chest and had died. He was bobtailing and upon further investigation, they found 600 lbs of MJ in the sleeper of the truck. The only explanation given in the news was the driver, from Missouri, did not want to face jail time. Sad story and my prayers are out to this man's family.

Sad that this is the kind of nation we live in. Where someone is really doing nothing wrong but fears jail so bad that they commit suicide. Don't belive the lies law enforcement tell you, jail isn't that bad. Been there a couple times and its a good place to stay warm and have 3 meals.

All over TX it says, "Don't mess with Texas!" If he was using it while driving, he was not only facing some jail time, losing his earnings and his occupation! Still doesn't seem like it was worth killing himself for. But then, having a weapon too-that is pretty bad. Plus, may not have been his first 'crime!' Makes you really wonder!

I was driving down the Freeway here, recently, and saw Private small cargo van, like a very small U-haul and on the side it said: "Maui Cargo!" Made me think and am still thinking!

This is a very sad story and all the more reason we must all work for Legalization. This family must be devastated! pr

hello. another very dramatic failure of the department of public safety. this unfortunate driver, a bootlegger, somehow has been made to feel so badly -that his own death was better than the life of the officer. this prohibition must end now. the government subsidizes noxious fossil fuels, and forces the public to suffer without harmless medication. government is the new definition of insanity.
