    water in a bucket..

Just started this little bucket experament and I had a question. I can't seem to attach a pic but there's some on my site... But the buckets full of water with an air pump that pumps air into the bottomof it. I have a netted pot with expanded clay pellets in it. So I'm all set to put my plant in, but all my clones are.already in dirt. How do I put it into rockwool or a diff medium that can be grown in water? Can I just drop my tiny dirt cube right into the bigger rockwool cube? Or do I need to get a clone that's already in rockwool? Help me out here, Im super stoked to get started!

But the buckets full of water with an air pump that pumps air into the bottomof it. ----What size air pump are you using???

How do I put it into rockwool or a diff medium that can be grown in water? ----One idea is below....

Can I just drop my tiny dirt cube right into the bigger rockwool cube? ----No....well you could but I don't think it would be the best way to go....

Or do I need to get a clone that's already in rockwool? ----It's up to you....if you don't like what I would do....

Help me out here, Im super stoked to get started! ----Ready to get your hands dirty???

What you need to do is massage all the soil off the roots and then place the clones root zone into the net pot....then cover the roots with clay pebbles and it should take off.... It will probably stress for a day or so but will likely take off soon after.... A seperate bucket full of water will make it easier to remove the soil from the roots.... Just dunk the roots, soil and all....then massage off the soil.... Might have to trim, if soil matter is stuck in the roots....

But before you put your lil one in your bucket - Have you done a Hydro checklist??? To make sure you have all your bases covered, like macro and micro nutes, pH testing/adjusting supplies, tds meter, proper water source??? I just want to ask because I would hate for you to have probs and think hydro is too hard or a waste of time....because Hydro is a whole nother beast....and way less forgiving than soil....

    water in a bucket..

I find that the buds grown with hydroponic systems , taste like water. You can introduce problems in your grow room, if that plant decides to get sick and give it to your other plants. Your are gona regret testing hydroponics. Hydroponic works, but like CGI said it's not a very forgiving growing method.

Well i got impatient and went ahead and did it. Got mostly all the dirt off it and its in the bucket. Yes dwc bucket, or at least my attempt at one. I have pics.of it on Flickr.com PGS420. its only one plant and I'm very stubborn so I'm sure I won't.be giving up on something so small...lol. just playing around with stuff. Yes I have all the nutes and ph and ppm testers. There pics of my nute.line online too. It's versitile soil or hydro.

    water in a bucket..

This is one reason why I want to move to a State where I can grow outdoors. Water in a bucket... to much work I guess my French blood is coming out on that one. Good luck to you nonetheless. I also want to ask you what up with you Flickr.com PGS420 I look and I could not find any thing. Your facing criminal charges so what are the up dates?

    water in a bucket..

Who's facing criminal charges? It's Flickr.com screen name PGS420 . It's just pics of the setup and stuff. And nothing I'm doing is illegal. I have all the legal.amount of plants and I'm a registered mmj patient through the state of Michigan. I don't have a computer so all the stuff I do from my phone. So I have the Flickr app but can't acess the whole site. I just upload and update pics.

    water in a bucket..

:thumbsup:Update on the dwc project: I've discarded the clone I had in the set up because it was poor quality and it was too sketchy for me. I did what you said CGI about carefully massaging the dirt out from the roots. You weren't kidding about getting my hands dirty! The seedlings is almost the same size as the clone I pulled out and has over twice as many roots. I carefully put the.seedling into a rockwool cube and put it in my little bin thing for a.few.days to let the roots recoop and take to the rock a little bit. As of tonight I've balanced and added and measured... And I think I'm ready so I stuck that baby right in the expanded clay pellets that I have suspended in a netted pot. I have two hoses pumping air into opposite sides of the bottom of the bucket. Well see guys ill keep posting!!
