but thanks, I couldn't get the "skin" off, i tried with a toothpick, seems as if nothings there, will this be a problem? It looks like the leaves are starting to poke out the sides of that opening on the seedling though, but the tip of it is still closed where the brown spot is, which I'm guessing is the thing I need to get off in order for it to open fully... any other way to go about doing it, or should it do it automatically?
Lightly mist it several times a day. This will cause that hull to get softer therefor the plant will shed it easier or maybe with a little assistance. I run across that problem when i dont plant it deep enough in the soil. But on the same note i would rather have a simple problem like this vs planting too deep and never get a sprout. Try misting for a couple days and see if that helps you out a little. Plus seedlings like the humidity:thumbsup:

I took a picture of my plant so far, it just sprouted yesterday... i'm not sure how long it's supposed to take for first leaves to spread open, but it's been 24 hours since it surfaced & it's still closed up like that, but just a tad taller... Anyways, when I planted the seed, it took over 4 days to surface, so as I was getting impatient, i tried to lightly brush some of the top layer of soil away & noticed a little white stem looking thing right at the top layer, when I woke up in the Rating: 5
