I'd say this critter was 'rescued' by someone like you. Didn't think about what kids do to dogs, but my 5 yr. old niece is pretty rough with my 7.2 pound dog and instead of biting when she is rough 'handled', she yelps. Then I rescue her. I have been working with her on how to approach a dog, handle and hold them. When I go to her soccer games, she doesn't say hi, just: "Where is Patches!" It would be my guess, this dog is a breed that isn't very well liked.

I can add, however, that I have seen innocent babies that were left alone with a family pet and without any provacation they munch up their heads! Particularly when the baby is in a play pen! We need to not let our dogs around a potential hazard either! As responsible pet owners. pr
