    SOG or traditional method?

Im going to start my first grow with some AF's in a stealth pc box. I was wondering if it would be better to grow all the plants I can in a SOG method, or just grow 2 or 3 at a time and get as much as I can out of them? Its all for personal, so growing a few, then smoking what they give me while a new batch grows seems like it would work good for me. But would SOG with AF's end up giving me more?

you might also consider the SCRog method, the Screen of Green. It has worked very well for me.

Would scrog or sog be worth it in the long run? Lets say I order 10 seeds. I can grow 2 at a time maybe and let them get big and get 30-60 grams each harvest. Or go SOG or SCROG and get maybe a little more, but wont have near as many harvests.

my scrogs average about 500g per plant... your mileage may vary.
I harvest every 56-70 days as that is the flowering time of the strain that I grow. By having several screens running in a Perpetual cycle, I could actually have a harvest every 30 days, but SOG, SCRog or traditional, the number of harvests would not change unless you use a perpetual cycle, ie. moving a new plant into the flowering room every 30 days.

In a small space, especially with florescent or LED lighting, no method can beat SCRog for production or efficiency.

I wish I could get 500gr a plant in a pc grow box, but i doubt that could ever happen. I am planning on a perpetual cycle, because lets face it, I smoke quicker than I grow lol. If i did traditional methods i would use LST to get it to grow vertically across the box, hopefully getting some better buds than normal on the lower branches. I was thinking this way I could harvest once a month, and get 15-30 grams per plant optimistically. So a 1/2gram or 1gram a day isnt bad. I could live with that. But would SOG or SCROG make it to where I could harvest maybe 100gr per harvest, per 3 plants. I really just cant see the extra work being worth it.

yeah... I just cant see it happening in a pc box. I am estimating about 6sq feet of space is needed for one of my plants. I am sure she would scream if I tried to stuff her in a box. Thats kind of cool growing in a pc box though... im going to have to try that some day. I still think you could up your output though by going scrog in there. Grow your plant up to about half height and put a screen in there that you can route the branches horizontally on just below your lights. Its not going to affect how fast they mature, but it will allow you to manage a few more budz out of it each time I would think. Its what I would do. What are you doing now when the growth gets out of control? clipping it?

Right now Ive just been using LST to get it to stay down, the only problem is that growing it vertically the way I have cuts off half the plant to the light. I guess I should have seen that in hindsight. But Im thinking abut grabbing maybe a metal cabinet so I can get a little more height and space. But I dont have any tools to cut holes in metal. A pc box would just make everything easy since its essentially perfect. Just small as shit.

Now that i think about it, scrog wouldnt work with AF's. they wont be tall enough to scrog before they begin to flower.

clones flowered early will become sticks could do that to save space. your basicaly growing miniature one bud christmas trees could put 15-20 in the pc grow box. you almost dont veg them just so they establish good roots and flower them right away!!!
