I do hope this discussion remains 'friendly': AS I have always found it counter-productive to bite each other's head off, as happens in this section frequently! e:This is an assumption I agree with. Bush got us in a war, based on "Faulty Intelligence" (which is his excuse and he would 'do it over again'). While we were off to war and "Distracted" he and Cheney passed legislation allowing a new type of mining, called "Fracking"- Hydrolaulic mining for minerals in the Shale of U.S.A. without meeting the EPA standards. As per stated before-Halliburton is making the most $ in Iraq and U.S.A. by this mining. Our air quality standards subverted by being distracted by war! I only recently learned of this mining across our country. AS, seismologist's are saying that removing these resources at a ' pace never seen before' is causing earthquakes in States (like Washington D. C.'s and Maryland's).

This-I am passionate about! We have to re-cycle our plastic, tin and have light bulbs that you can barely read by, for the "environment," yet, big business can take minerals from our Earth and do more damage than we can manage to save!

I would not profess to have the answer. But, I would like to hear more facts.

1)I agree with kw420, the '60's changed a lot of things. And some of our young men fled to Canada (thank God for Canada and other countries that gave 'safe harbor'). And the president that pardoned them and allowed them to return home, "amnesty.' Others died in war!
And thank God for those who served and fulfilled their duty! I know of not one person, personally that left the country. AS, I cannot relate to that. But, I did not believe we needed to be in Viet Nam. We (our fore-fathers) fought our own 'Revlutionary War' and 'Civil War' in America! Other countries need fight their own, or pay for help with their own mineral resources!

2) No one would survive in the "long term" CanGro and that is the bottom line.

I believe: We are seeing civil unrest for "CIVIL RIGHTS!" Around the World. We (U.S.A.) are busy in everyone else's business and need to tend to our own store, right here at home.

We've spent so much money and resource's in the civil wars of other nation's, that the financial backbone of America is broken and we want change! And not 1 cent on the dollar we spend seems to be employing our disenchanted and unemployed-the 99%.

We have proven, war doesn't solve anything. Would be nice to see diplomacy work!

Bin Laden was our enemy from the WTC and he is gone. That war was a long way of going about it; but, our soldiers took care of him! I suppose, the only regret is: We did not display his body in a freezer locker for everyone to view, as they did in Libya!

This in itself can be seen as an act of war. All I know is that if Israel strikes Iran, it will certainly be backed by the US. If this happens, you can expect Russia and China to get involved and will essentially equal World War 3, which is exactly what the Globalists want.
