There would be "NO" World War 3 at all, as no force would position itself to cause one. If Israel attacked Iran, it would be on its own and certainly not back by the rest of the world. However if America backed Israel in this, then the rest of the world would push that big red button and nuke the US. In the time of the first notification of a nuclear weapon being launched by the US, the following countrys would follow suit and press the button against the US. Russia, China, Iran, Libya & Britain, in fact it would be anyone to the East & West of the US who would launch and wipe the US of the planet.

However this would never happen, as no country would fire nukes on another for fear of instant reprisal, after all most of the world would be wiped out and the rest would be living in nuclear holocost if they some how managed to survive.
