Then that would probably make you and almost everyone in this country a socialist.. social security, medicare, disability, etc are all things that most people think they deserve and are glad they have access to. All of which are social programs.

Actually, all 3 of those are insurances we are forced to pay into. So right-off the bat you're barking up the wrong tree. Alas, the monies were not supposed to be borrowed against (stolen) by the political hacks that couldn't resist the temptation. Not only did they borrow against it, seems they leveraged against it for more earmark bucks. (unnecessary programs designed to gain favor with the home crowd...usually announced close to primaries or general elections)

The rest of your post seemed to be a vomiting of your political soul, not backed by facts...so I skipped most of it. Sorry, but I am unimpressed with your prejudices.

But thanks for telling us exactly how to fix the country's ills. I never even thought of flip-flopping my morals and values, or hitching my cart to a misguided concept, just to fit nicely with the "in" crowd. Perhaps that IS worth a try, since you seem to think it's done so well for you. But tell me...When were you EVER leaning conservative? When did you EVER believe anything outside the progressive box you've put yourself in? Sounds like you have YEARS of liberal indoctrination under your belt, (via public schools, no doubt) so am curious how you settled on your current far-left stance? Seems to me that compared to you, Obama looks like a blue-dog moderate, lol.
