    It's time to Occupy!

of course, $3,000 in 1913 is about the same as $75,000 today because that dollar issued in 1913 is only worth 4 cents today.

Thank you Boaz for sharing that information with us. Not too many people know or understand money but they think they do. In order to have money you must have debt and in order to have debt you must have money which is made out of thin air. Start pulling your money out of the banks, that'll hurt them big because they depend on our money and with out it they will be forced to close. By they way Boaz it's been a long time huh? Glad to still see you around.

thank you, Kyle, thats really cool bro. yeah, I kinda got sucked into that whole facebook black hole over the last year or so after I joined it, but I never left this place. :smokin: Yeah, this whole money game is pretty interesting, I don't try to pretend to really understand it myself and I learned alot from Fiat Empire, a great film that is linked on this site. I find it intersting that a one dollar coin minted in 1776 by our US Treasury would have still been worth one dollar over a hundred years later in 1912. But, if you spent that dollar on one of those paper money notes that the banking cartels began to issue in 1913, then it would be worth less than four cents today, less than one hundred year later. :wtf: that is a sh*t load of wealth that someone has gained at our expense.

Been going downtown to join in when I can but since I'm the single daddy with three kids there are some restraints on my availability As anyone who knows me would assume I don't see eye to eye with this group but much of what they are protesting against are some things that really need to change. Soo... when I can I put my body in that park and add my voice to w/e march or protest goes on while I am around.

Great to see people finally taking an interest in how things are done in DC and Wall Street. You hear republicans talk about the democrats attempt at redistribution of wealth by entitlements. But thats not the redistribution of wealth that is brining this country to its knees. Its the perpetual bail outs and grants and tax breaks of the rich that are redistributing the wealth from the people who actually earn it to the elites at the top. The biggest problem is the Federal Reserve of course. You can not have privatized currency and expect the economy to be stable. End the Fed, put an end to too big to fail and go back to when our taxing laws actually worked which was in the 60's and 70's. The economy was booming them, the rich paid there fair share and things were going pretty good.

true that, KW. it is corporate comunism. private banks get the reward while the public assumes all the risk. I heard one quote recently it is Capitalism for all of us but Socialism for the elite banks and corporations. those too big to fail, ones, that is. they are literally the "money changers". Why do we allow this. I'm not expert maybe there isn't eneough gold and silver anymore and paper money inflation is needed for this popluation boom but it seems to me we could do better than this. I understand the Federal Reserve's original mission to was to avoid the natural boom and busts but isn't that socialism, too. or at least social engineering. it assumes that a few on the top of the pyramid know more that all the rest below and that is why 'isms' in general don't work. :twocents:

this is a great learning experience for me anyway, for example I didn't know that it was actual real Socialist in the US that pushed for a "progressive tax code", that is tax rate that goes up the more money you make. I tend to agree, but its interesting you don't hear that much these days with all the talk about socialism, etc.

Not a sheep as your post implies, but perhaps that's just a manifestation of your own fears about your less than popular position. But I'm a lowly college educated, self-thinking conservative that believes the morons down at the Wall Street party are lazy, undereducated junkies looking for more of a free ride while misunderstanding the issues and the causes/remedies to those issues.

Tell ya what...Let's go down to Barney Franks house, since he and his liberal co-conspirators are the root cause of our banking problems and the mortgage fiasco. Then we can go to the White House and protest the Socialistic morality of the current administration and their policies that are keeping American's out of work.

Then we can step on over to the...ya know what...? Instead of doing any of that, the only fucking place I'm going is to the ballot box to vote these anti-American progressives out of office.

I'm not the one camping-out and pretending I know what's up...
I'm not a disgruntled liberal trying to organize the homeless junkies downtown in an effort to appear more support than there is for an issue that is tangental to their cause...
But I am the one sitting back LMAO at the undereducated being led by the nose...

And yes...may you one day be as happy as I am...
