My girls are in veg mode, using 6" rockwoll and they are under 6 1000s. Do I water them daily or pick up the slab and check the weight...and when I water them how long do I soak them

So, my first question would be.... how big is the plant? It's a round about way of finding out how deep may the roots be at this time to determine how much to water...

You should complete your hydroponics system, rockwool cubes are suppose tu use continous watering like other hydro kits ,with a tank for water and nutrients. Stale water is bad!

Many people, including myself, tend to water too much....especially when using rockwool, which absorbs water too much. My suggestion would be to just lift up one or two of those 6" cubes and see how heavy they are (with water) before dumping more water on them. I started with rockwool when I first started growing, and now do not use it because it holds on to moisture too long as far as I'm concerned. Since I use timers for feeding it was too difficult for me since they need to be set at least once every 24hrs.
