Re-Vegged plant results...

I'm not impressed and in fact kind of disappointed. The plant vegged out very nice but produced mostly popcorn sized buds with a few larger sized buds on the top. It's not going to yeild as much as the first harvest, more bud sites but a lot of tiny buds. I think I'm going to just clip all the outside buds off tomorrow and see if it does anything else, half the plant isn't worth even picking. No big deal because I didn't even know if it would do anything but once it got going it looked pretty nice. The buds that are there look very nice though, like they've been dipped in powdered sugar.

Maybe give some details and we can help you . When revegging a plant that has flowered out.it is a good idea to re pot in bigger container.After first flowering i am sure roots were preety tight.So by the time the next flowering comes along you have root lock which can result in smaller buds.Also could be many other things so details could help.

Some strains require a bit longer of a re-veg time, but it's a technique worth mastering.

I cut out the bottom and put the container on top of another container of fresh soil. The problem seems to be that it didn't start budding until after sept. 1st and it's already done which seems to fly in the face of conventional wisdom. The flowers were growing out then about a week ago the pistils started browning which I thought was a bit early.

I just figured what was the worse that would happen? It may die! LOL I'll get a bag of good smoke from it but the clones I took off of her did MUCH, MUCH better then she did the first time around or this time which I thought was odd the buds even looked different.

If you're not flushing the nutrients from the old soil, and if you're not cutting the roots back...results may vary widely.

Absolutely! :thumbsup:
Ive tried it a few different ways. Results are always better when the roots have room to spread OUT, as opposed to downward, out of an already cramped pot. Merely plopping it on top of fresh soil lets it live, but the plant doesn't thrive like it would when given a root pruning.

I also like to top-dress with worm castings when starting a re-veg, but that's just an old habit...

I use fresh Fox Farms Ocean Forest, which is pretty rich to begin with. Use care with the worm castings, they can burn the roots if you add too much. It's a myth that "organics" can't burn...
