I know that i should ask this here.

    Because i'm insane

anyways i have this problem my speakers are really quiet i turned up the volume on the computer all the way but they're still just a whisper i can bareley hear them above the comp fan. now they say that they are "passive" and i assume that is why there is no volume control on the speakers themselves so if anyone could help i would be sooo thankful because have no sound sucks but haveing very very quiet sound is just as bad!!!!

if it's saying it's passive then that means it has no amplification to push it throught the speakers and you're just getting the input signal. i don't know how that relates to the answer but i hope this helps in some way.
