    Dryer Sheet Experiment....Who's Down???

    Alright so I've had dryer sheets in my grow space for a while now and haven't had any pest problems at all....

    I noticed one of my outdoor potted plants, non-cannabis, was infested with spider mites.... So I placed three dryer sheets at the base of the bush at topsoil level.... 3 days later, a noticeable difference, no more spider mites.... Not only that but the leaves looked much healthier....

    So I ask you all to participate in an experiment with me.... If you happen to have pests, place a couple dryer sheets near your little ones and let us know if they worked for you....

    Who's down???

    Dryer Sheet Experiment....Who's Down???

    Been 4 months with dryer sheets now and I still have no flyers at all.

    However, A plant with dryer sheets at the soil level did get red spider mites!
    Put her in my shower with a no pest strip for a couple hours.
    Still got mites, but they are dead!
    I put them back in the death chamber in two days to kill any new-hatch.
    Then a third treatment for good measure and we're good until the next mite rides in on the wind.

    The sheets have also kept German cockroaches away from the kitchen sink.
    They are quite effective against yellow-jackets, (meat-bees), as well.

    So, I'm in.

    Dryer Sheet Experiment....Who's Down???

    Ive been wondering about this. Ive heard Weezard talk about this for awhile now. I can see using them outdoors but indoors i kinda question whether or not itll make the plants have a hint of soap taste or smell? Hell i can just open the box and its strong smelling. So since you both have used them quite a bit can you tell me if it does or doesnt. Inquiring minds wanna know haha.

    I was just as surprised at their effectivness as anyone here.

    Seemed too cheap n easy to be true.
    Yet, I still have no white fly, fungus gnat, or root aphid flyer anywhere near the outdoor, or indoor gals.

    That is certainly not proof.
    I also have no tigers, yah?

    @pushit et al.
    I'm with you on the "Bounce" and it's ilk.
    They reek!
    The "for humans" perfume is way too strong and give no apparent advantage for bug deterrence

    Kirkland brand sheets are just as effective, least stinky, and prolly the least expensive as well.
    And, so far, indoor or out, they don't affect the subtle terpene flavors and aromas of the dried bud.

    I'm very picky about that.

    I keep them in a coffee jug to keep them fresh, but a ziplock will do jus' fine.
    [attachment=o279022]
    I used to cut them neatly with scissors.
    Then realized that tearing them left a fuzzy edge that was more effective at blocking egg laden flyers.

    Bigger pot? Use 2.

    Obviously, sloppy works.

    It's really that easy!
    Go figure.
