Need new doctor!

Am in desperate need of the cannabis community for help. My primary care physician refuses to refill my pain meds, after finding marijuana in my system. Does anyone in Mn know of a medical professional that prescribes to the "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy? Any help would be immensely appreciated!

Hey Pairie Girl-since we don't have any in Calif. I assume I can't give you any advice from my state! But, Click reply and then post answer (as you did in this reply) then put your state in and click on Post quick reply, below your reply.

You can look up web sites for Norml or Americans for Safe Access sites and look up maps for states and find docs in your area. I resume, you live in a state that has legal mmj??? I can recommend my doc, but it would be a long drive for you!

There are a few things you may need to think about first. As, there are many threads on the topic here. You can get your "req." and then you need to decide whethere you want a card with your county. I personally do not do that. AS, it cost's from $89. up, per year, in my counties. But, you are registered in the computer and if you have a police problem, they have already verified your req and you will have less problem. Since, I do not believe I am doing anything illegal, I doubt I need that. pr

PG-I see you posted mn: Perhaps your primary doc will write you a script for cannibis. It has been used for cancer patients for a very long time and acceptable treatment! Good luck.

Have been in that part of country and you may consider driving to Michigan, as it doesn't seem too far for me, when I am heading for Door County, easy to get lost into Michigan, you may consider that and hope for the best.

Why did he test you for mmj anyway? did you ask for and allow this testing?

Painretreat, Bless you for even bothering with me. I went to the E.R. with vomiting that wouldn't stop. They did a blood test and found MJ. She said that was breaking my narcotic contract. Explained I use it for depression but she didn't care. Now I have changed clinics and will bring my medical records but am afraid new doc will request info from old doc. Am thinking I should explain and bring fake urine or something. Have no pain meds and have been to urgent care two times in Sept.when I hadn't had to go since April of 2009. If I had a card from another state do you think if they did a test and found it I would be ok?
