Hay everyone I copied this from a topic at OZ stoners I still laugh at it...

The worst smoke I ever had, was something called "Burried Buddah". This was in the first years of my now 25 years of smoking. Came from someone, a workmate knew. It was, what I now know to be
mouldy, and when it was mulled all this powdering dust spilled up like smoke from an incinerator. Smelt like burning rubbish and harsh like smoking sawdust. Maybe it was, probably treated pine....
That's when I was nieve.... found some good teachers after that... Never touched bad smoke again except for some crapy hash.. once or twice.

Yep, same here, NEVER, smoke anything mouldy. Could be the Holy Grail of weed, but if it got mouldy, GACK! Know that my friends father got a fugal infection thought to come from bad weed. Took a long time to get free of it.

I haven't experience any real funny episodes from bad weed, cause I've never had any bad weed. However, I was smoking 30 years ago while in the car with my brother following the hearst at my dad's funeral and somehow and somewhere between Northwest Arkansas and a couple of miles North of TX in the middle of the Pan in Oklahoma (for the 2nd funeral and body transport) we were behind a pick-up with all my Mom's belonging's (she moved to TX via the funeral) on this old dirty pick-up; as the weather was bad on Jan 15 that year. I looked up and saw mattress's and all kinds of shit, even a horse collar and couldn't stop laughing. A scene like the Beverly Hillbilly's-go west young'un! I have never laughed so much in my life. Particularly, during a funeral and especially my dad's!

My brother thought WTF did she flip out! He couldn't see the humor in it. And some may feel the same from your post. Perhaps, it would be funnier if it were you! Regardless, I do find it funny. Like-basic 101 eating-don't eat MOLD! pr

by the way: that brother died at age 47 and I was never a freq. toker until after his demise. So, I have no clue what I was tokin' with him! But, we enjoyed it!

As a foolish and unconnected young person once I had the misfortune of coming across some funky shit!

There used to be these apartments you could just drive up to and there would be brothas hanging all over the parking lot selling nickel and dime baggies. You drove in and about 4 guys approach your car and start showing you little baggies, hindsight bein 20/20 we were fucking nutz going there. Worst deal I ever got? Gave the guy $20 for an 8th, he said he had to get it from a dude inside an apt. and to wait in the parking lot for him, lol, dude never came back.

We got some shit one time that was real compact "thai", well we start smoking it and I don't know what the hell it was but it wasn't weed.

A friends sister did a real nice indoor grow once, nice looking, smelling and tasting bud but gave you NO BUZZ!

I've had bags of "mexican" weed that were so full of seeds and stems you were lucky to get a gram of actual smoke from an 8th.

Budz? The "legal" stuff they advertise here? I'm pretty sure I've been slipped this crap as well at least once. Smoked and tasted funny, my g/f who rarely smoked said it did not smell like weed when I smoked it around her.

In the mid 80's when it was very, very hard to find decent bud if you could find any at all we actually bought an ounce of LEAVES for $20.

I won't even get into what we called ****** deals! 2 gram 8ths?

Last year my grow got wiped out by root aphids and I was forced to buy a z of White Widow from some sketchy characters.

It was quite moist, so I dried it a bit and jarred some for decent curing.
After it dried a bit, I noted a "funky" taste.
Very old timers will remember a wall cleaning compound from the '50s that looked like modeling clay.
It had a distinctive odor.
This weed smelled exactly like that.
Not quite moldy, just funky.

I did a water wash.
Evaporated the water and looked for residue.
Nada!

Dried that sample, still smelled. Hmmm?!
So I did an isoproply alcohol extraction.
(I'm not about to toss any meds I can salvage).
Evaporated the alcohol and found this:

I'm guessing it was something like Serenade, at best.:wtf:
Definitely not anything I'm willing to bet a lung on.

Since it was not water soluble, separating it from the desired active ingredients was over my head and I had to trash the whole z.
That took out my entire medical budget.
If a good man had not stepped up and sent me free meds for 3 months I'd likely be seeing metastases by now.
