Once the sample goes to a lab, an Immunoassay screen is conducted first, with a 50 ng/ml cutoff limit for THC. If the sample is positive, then the sample will undergo a confirmation GC/MS with a 15 ng cutoff level.

Dont let the differing cutoff levels between the two types of tests worry you. Even though their cutoffs numerically differ, a 50 ng assay is functionally equivalent to the 15 ng GC/MS. Their cutoffs numerically differ because the assay recognizes all 31 metabolite concentrations combined, while the GC/MS recognizes only one metablite concentration (THC-COOH). Burnt Toast Reviewed by Burnt Toast on . Passing urine test after 95 days Hey, I have a urine test coming up on Oct 6th which will be exactly 95 days since i last smoked. I did a home test on Aug 1st and passed with a faint line and a another home test on Sept 1st which I also passed with faint line. But after reading some of the info in the forums I am worried that the lab test is more accurate than the home tests, ie. if its a GC MS will I pass as these seem to be more accurate ?? I weigh 150lbs and am 6ft tall, I was smoking almost everyday but it was dark Rating: 5
