You can usually get a good idea of what a plant is going to smell like, by rubbing the internode.

Put an internode (closest to the tops as you can) between your pointing finger and your thumb. Apply firm but light pressure as you transverse up the stem, till you get to the next internode. (don't squeeze too tight or you'll risk damage) This will rub some of the terpenes (oils) onto your fingers. This way you do not crush, fold, spindle the buds, but you'll be able to see exactly what it's going to smell like before curing.
Rusty Trichome Reviewed by Rusty Trichome on . Is this right? Hi, I have lots of buds forming on some Wild Thailand and am a little concerned. I have heard lots of talk of odor, and my minimally successful greenhouse grow had some odor, but these have nearly no odor. There is a very week hint of a bud odor just starting. These plants are getting heavy with bud to the point that the branches are bending under the weight, I can see with my magnifier the there are lots of drops of resin forming, but no strong odor even close to the buds. Is something wrong? Rating: 5
