Quick question

Does an application for a job have to state that they're going to drug test you, or can they just pop the question upon hiring you? The app did specify a background check, but nothing about a drug test. I have filled out apps in the past that did ask me if I was willing too submit to a drug test.

I was in the same situation, I assumed there was not going to be a drug test but upon hiring me they gave me a form and told me to get tested at Quest Diagnostics. Better to be safe than sorry like me
