Purchasing on the street constitutes one of those "illicit acts" which is not protected. And, just to let you know....if you are buying medicinal grade on the street more power to you and it will be difficult (but not impossible) to tell the legal from the illegal. However, if you are purchasing anything other than medicinal grade, law enforcement knows the difference and should you be detained, you would need to disclose from which producer you obtained your medicine. If it is in a labeled package, you only need to show them the packaging. If, as you say, you have a joint in your pocket, then for your safety, perhaps you could carry a receipt in your wallet. Just a suggestion because that's what I do.
