so go spread misinformation elsewhere will you?
The act clearly states what happens when you have an encounter with law enforcement. If I have a joint in my pocket how should I attach a label to that?
Patient 4200...it is unfortunate that you believe that good people who come to this website to relay information which has been obtained from the DOH is providing the registered patients "misinformation". Due to the federal crackdown, and seemingly the reversal of the lenient policy stated by Attorney General Eric Holder, the DOH wants to ensure that the patients understand their rights under the program and the consequences of not following the rules. Cannahub is obviously involved with some of the producers. The producers recently had a meeting with the DOH, which has been reported on this very website. As I just stated in my response to MimbresValley, I am closely associated with one of the producers and am a fellow patient. Please tell me why we would want to provide other patients with misinformation? CannaHub even tells you to reuse your packaging you receive from a producer. That doesn't mean you have to continually purchase from a producer. However, purchasing on the street does not protect you under the act and that is clearly stated. Purchasing on the street constitutes one of those "illicit acts" which is not protected. And, just to let you know....if you are buying medicinal grade on the street more power to you and it will be difficult (but not impossible) to tell the legal from the illegal. However, if you are purchasing anything other than medicinal grade, law enforcement knows the difference and should you be detained, you would need to disclose from which producer you obtained your medicine. If it is in a labeled package, you only need to show them the packaging. If, as you say, you have a joint in your pocket, then for your safety, perhaps you could carry a receipt in your wallet. Just a suggestion because that's what I do.

It is illegal in NM to purchase from anyone other than the LNPPsJust wanted the patients who visit this site to remember that it is illegal to purchase from anyone other than the licensed nonprofit producers. The DOH will be receiving the license renewal fees from the LNPPs in December. The DOH will be using the money to hire 5-7 full time staff members. Their first priority will be site visits of all the patients with personal production licenses. In addition, several patients have lost their PPL due to someone turning them in for selling or growing
