putting straw down and soaking it every day? Wet blankets too? I get you're trying to increase the humidity but that's overboard. If you don't get a mold or fungus episode, rats and other rodents would also like the conditions you're making especially the straw. >>>>>>>>>>

We've averaged over 90 degrees for the last week, it doesn't matter how much I soak things down they are dry by 3 p/m. Didn't find any straw but the blankets worked great for keeping the area a little cooler. The mister seemed to work pretty well and was a lot less hassle.
