Over or Under Watering?
Hello - I'm a beginner grower and just started growing 3 plants, outdoor, in pots (this is the only possible way for me to grow these). There is pea gravel in the bottom of all 3 pots so drainage is very good. I used organic potting soil for each. I live about 3 miles from the coast in Southern California so the temp has been roughly 75-80 degrees lately. They've approx been receiving sunshine from 8a-6p daily. Because it has been hot and the amount of direct sunlight they've been getting, I was watering everyday as the leaves looked like they were getting fried. But now I'm concerned the leaves are an indication of over-watering. Can anyone here tell from the attached pics whether it's under- or over-watering?
Thanks for any comments.supereasy Reviewed by supereasy on . Over or Under Watering? Over or Under Watering?
Your prob has nothing to do with over or under watering.... Its a maturity/stress prob....
All outdoor cannabis in Cali is flowering right now.... The plants you have there appear to be waaaaaaay too little to start flowering.... Just my opinion though....
Did you start these from seed???

Over or Under Watering?
i would say over water they mite look burned yet mj loves the heat if the sun gets to much for them take them out the direct sunlight but make sure to put them in a place with not so much sun. they look like its time for food as well

Over or Under Watering?
Hi CanGro - I did not start from seed...a friend gave me 3 clones almost 2 weeks ago, so I stuck them in pots. Yes, these are very small, new plants.
Thanks whitetop - I think I'll give them less sunlight...and i agree, maybe a little food in the morning.

Over or Under Watering?
i checked soil again, down to 3 inches or so and it's dry. i think with the drainage in these pots being so good and the soil being dry today, it's not a product of over-watering. I think the heat and length in the sun was drying these babies out. Going to stick with my gut on this one unless someone here definitely knows from looking at those leaves that these are getting too much agua. wish me luck. thanks

Over or Under Watering?
Hey CanGro - you were right, the plants were stressed, going thru some shock. they have been doing great the last few weeks. since it is late to typically be growing outdoor here in s. cal, do you think these will still do ok? i imagine they will bud and all, but maybe not yield as much as peak periods? thanks for the response

Over or Under Watering?
I think you need to get them in a controlled 75 degree environment, covered, with gentle lighting. I see cold stress, no root growth, dry leaves, probable sopping wet roots at the bottom. No fertilizer until it picks up In 3 weeks they should be fine.,
I would let them veg under light and get size before allowing to flower
