Paperwork mailed in, now what?
The process for this has since changed.
The CDPHE is now publishing a document on their website that will list any rejected patients.
For every patient wishing to use temporary paperwork we reload this document, ensure that our patient isn't rejected, and print the page with a time stamp as proof that we checked.
http://www.cdphe.state.co.us/hs/medi...na/Centers.pdf
Patients with temporary paperwork must shop on week days between 8am-5pm, when the document is able to be current.
Also, renewing patients are not allowed to use temporary paperwork because the CDPHE assumes that patients will renew with ample time to avoid a lapse. The 35 day temp. document rule is to allow patients in dire need immediate access.
None have been rejected in a long time, but it's a bureaucratic procedure that we must put up with for the time being.

anybody know the current waiting time for a renewal card? I am approaching the 3 week mark from when I sent my renewal paperwork (Oct 17th), just wondering if it should be arriving soon.

We are seeing renewals coming in after 4 weeks now. Just had a new card patient that we had to turn away.... more than 35 days had elapsed since her postmarked proof of mailing date.

Sounds Like a new wave of patients are applying. I heard from my regular center that are getting 10 - 15 new Patients a day. I heard this after commenting that their supply has been low the past couple weeks. In fact while I was there they had 2 new patients 1 before me & 1 after.
As soon as I can figure a couple things out I am gonna start my first grow. I currently have a roma tomato growing under my sunroof and it is getting huge. will be a good place for them, once I figure things out.

All the patients that were issued cards last year when the CDPHE finally caught up with the backlog are now coming due for renewal. That is why the wait times have been longer.
As time goes on this surge will spread itself out, hopefully.
35-45 days has been standard for the last few months though the CDPHE hasn't updated their estimates on the website.
