Paperwork mailed in, now what?
So I got my referral and all my paperwork mailed off certified mail, its been a week and I am just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to get the card in the mail? or how long it took yours to come? the site says up to 3 weeks, that seems like forever. Also wondering if there is anywhere I can get meds before the card arrives, it doesn't seem like that is possible anymore, but I need to get some sleep. thanks.

Assuming that everything is in order, Copobo is right, about 2-3 weeks.
The CDPHE has been good with keeping up.
We recently got some clarification on using temporary paperwork.
If you are a new patient and this is the first time you have applied, you can shop at a center by going through some process where the center calls the CDPHE to verify that they have received your app and then passes the phone to you to verify your identity, and then you are allowed to shop.
This is so that truly critical patients don't have to wait for the state to get their meds.
If you are renewing, they have said that you must wait until you receive your red card because you could have renewed before your previous card expired.Home of Bio-Diesel - 2009 Medical Marijuana Harvest Cup Winner

That said, it is Denver Relief's policy not to accept temporary paperwork, except for some rare exigencies.

If you have your temporary paperwork filled out correctly and accompanied with your proof of mailing, we may be able to help you out. If you can, give me a call at our Uptown location (ext #1) and I can talk you through the process. Just ask for Jake.

We've been calling up there for <35 day patients with the proper paperwork. CDPHE won't tell a dispensary ANYTHING about a patient. They will talk to the patient though, but that offers the dispensary no proof that they have not been denied. We call up there anyways for nothing more than the time stamp on my phone records if it comes down to needing that.

Funny that they pass a law that goes against the confidentiality that is built into the constitution.

Speakerphone or being on the same line with the patient works.
