Male plant
hey guys,
Been doing an indoor grow for the past 12 weeks in a wardrobe in my spare bedroom. Have a nice little space of about 1 meter square lined with polystyrene. I've grown 1 plant of afghan kush using a 50w led grow light, feeding it molasses and tomato feed.
started flowering it a couple of weeks ago and the other day discovered pollen sacks developing all the way down the branches (shit buzz).
so since I've given it 12 weeks of tlc i'm wondering can anything be salvaged from this grow???.......
I know people who harvest males earlier than females, dry them out, cure them and then try and use the plant in baking etc.
anyone any experience of this, since its my only plant i'm gonna try and have a smoke from it anyway............
Is there a good time for harvest, will any resin glands start to appear?
any and all advice welcome....
cheers guys!:thumbsup:Attachment 277906Attachment 277907ubernerd Reviewed by ubernerd on . Male plant hey guys, Been doing an indoor grow for the past 12 weeks in a wardrobe in my spare bedroom. i think it varies from male to male on if they are junk or not, doesnt hurt to make some cannbutter anyway. Start over anyhow, is it root bound? seems leaves are clawing and looks like bottom growth is all fucked , not sure it thats down to the led penetration or something else, are you suppose to veg a plant that long under led and not train it?

Not really sure...................this was my first grow, so everything was a bit experimental. the bottom of the plant does look pretty scabby compared to the top alright. I've pruned a fair bit of dead leaves from the middle and the bottom.
I think i"ll chop it down soon and stick another plant in its place....all is not lost as i had seedling in with it, it started dying so i put it in the garden to rest in peace.....and it sprang back to life.
think i'll move it back under the led on an 18/6 light cycle... only problem is its from a random bunch of random seeds given to me. so the same thing may happen again.
Moral of the story is always pay an extra few quid and buy feminized seeds!
